The Covington-Newton County 911 Communications Center is scheduled for an on-site assessment as part of a program to achieve accreditation by verifying it meets professional standards.

The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), invites agency employees and the public to offer comments by telephone. The public may call (678) 342-8792 on August 22th between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Telephone comments are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with CALEA standards.
